Hi there

Cat Butler here! I am a freelance movement director, theatre-maker, and performer living between Birmingham & London.

I devise participatory dance/physical theatre shows or projects that pop up in outdoor, cabaret or site-specific spaces.

Last year, I co-directed the Athletes Welcome Ceremony for the Commonwealth Games and am currently co-movement director on At The Forest’s Edge for the RSC. 

​

I'm interested in projects that explore ways to connect, empower or inspire change. I believe the process and the people involved are as important as the performance and why care and collaboration are central to my approach.
